Momentum FAQ
Everything You Need to Know
General Product & Vision
What is Momentum?
Momentum is an AI-native revenue orchestration platform designed for modern B2B go-to-market (GTM) teams. It captures insights from customer interactions, automates workflows across the funnel, and delivers real-time signals to help teams act faster and more effectively.
Who uses Momentum?
Momentum is built for GTM teams (Sales, RevOps, Customer Success, and Enablement) at mid-market and enterprise B2B companies. Notable customers include Zscaler, Ramp, 1Password, Demandbase, Postman, and Alation.
How does Momentum help GTM teams?
Momentum eliminates manual tasks (like note-taking, CRM updates, and handoffs), surfaces critical buyer signals, and automates follow-ups, Slack/Teams alerts, and approvals. Teams sell and support more efficiently, with better pipeline visibility and data hygiene.
What makes Momentum different from other RevOps tools?
Unlike standalone analytics or alerting tools, Momentum acts as a full orchestration layer across your GTM stack, integrating call insights, CRM data, Slack actions, and workflow automation in one platform. It doesn't just see data; it ensures your team acts on it.
Is Momentum a conversation intelligence tool?
Momentum goes beyond conversation intelligence. While it integrates call data and summaries, its core value lies in orchestrating workflows, validating intent with reality, and powering AI agents that drive action, not just insight.
What is 'Revenue Orchestration'?
Revenue Orchestration is the practice of coordinating people, systems, and data in real-time to improve execution across the GTM funnel. Momentum operationalizes this by surfacing AI-validated signals, automating workflows, and syncing everyone in the revenue engine.
Use Cases by Persona
How do Sales Reps and AEs use Momentum?
They use it to automate call summaries, fill in CRM fields like MEDDIC, generate follow-up tasks, and self-coach from AI feedback; freeing up hours each week to focus on selling.
How do Sales Managers benefit from Momentum?
Managers get alerts about deal risk, stalled opps, and objections in real time, plus dashboards, coaching tools, and visibility into how reps are performing against methodology.
How does RevOps use Momentum?
RevOps uses Momentum to operationalize playbooks (no-code), enforce data hygiene, backfill CRM fields via Retropilot, and route signals to the right tools and teams.
What does Momentum offer to Customer Success teams?
CS teams use Momentum to detect churn risks, automate QBR follow-ups, share account briefs, and flag upsell opportunities from support calls.
Can Product or Engineering teams use Momentum?
Yes. Product teams get customer feedback routed directly from sales/support calls to Slack or Jira, creating a passive voice-of-customer feedback loop.
AI Agents & Automation
What AI agents does Momentum provide?
- Deal Execution Agent: Automates CRM updates and workflows
- Customer Retention Agent: Flags churn and upsell signals
- Sales Coaching Agent: Scores calls, flags coachable moments
- AI CRO Agent: Summarizes pipeline risks and team performance
- SmartClips Agent: Auto-generates video highlights from calls
- Account Brief Agent: Builds real-time, queryable account dossiers
What is Retropilot and how does it work?
Retropilot analyzes historical call recordings to backfill Salesforce fields, fill in missing MEDDIC data, and clean up pipeline hygiene at scale.
Can I customize workflows in Momentum?
Yes. Momentum offers a no-code workflow builder where you can define triggers, actions, and conditions — e.g., auto-create a Slack Deal Room when an opp hits $100k+.
Can Momentum update Salesforce from Slack?
Yes. Reps can push pipeline updates, approvals, and “Close Won” statuses from Slack buttons that sync instantly with Salesforce.
Conversation Intelligence
Does Momentum record and transcribe calls?
Yes, if you activate the Conversation Intelligence add-on. Momentum can join Zoom, Meet, or Teams calls, transcribe, summarize, and push notes to CRM or Slack.
How accurate is the transcription and summary AI?
Momentum supports 99+ languages but is most accurate in English. Users report high accuracy for summaries and action items, with continual model improvements.
What is SmartClips?
SmartClips auto-generates short video highlights from sales or CS calls (e.g., objections, competitor mentions) and shares them in Slack or Teams within minutes of the call.
What are Account Briefs?
Account Briefs are AI-generated, real-time dossiers showing customer sentiment, call history, engagement status, and risks. You can ask natural language queries like “What’s the latest with Company A?”
Signals, Alerts & Intelligence
What kinds of signals does Momentum detect?
Signals like pricing objections, churn indicators, buyer intent, negative sentiment, stakeholder changes, and competitor mentions from calls, emails, and tickets.
Where do alerts appear?
Momentum can route alerts into Slack, Teams, Salesforce, Zendesk, or any connected system. Users get notified in the tools they already use.
Can Momentum trigger actions based on AI signals?
Yes. For example, a churn signal on a call can trigger a follow-up task in Asana, a Slack alert, and a playbook in Salesforce, all automatically.
Integrations
Which CRMs does Momentum support?
Salesforce is the primary integration, with real-time read/write support.
Does Momentum integrate with Slack or Microsoft Teams?
Yes. Momentum is deeply integrated with both. Slack is the default interface (Deal Rooms, buttons, alerts), and Teams support includes summaries and signals.
What sales tools does Momentum integrate with?
Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, Chorus, Clari, Dialpad, and Mixmax. It syncs sequences, call data, and workflows across the stack.
